THE CHALLENGE · IN PROGRESS

A heritage project being built for the next generation

Reimagine is transforming Lymington's historic 1830s Drill Hall in Bath Road into a Maritime Futures Hub — a vibrant community space where retired boatbuilders, engineers and craftspeople share hands-on skills with young people aged 11 to 25, alongside a town-wide Library of Things and the restoration of the 1933 Dunkirk Little Ship RNLB Charles Cooper Henderson.

Currently in progress, we are designing and building an identity and interactive web experience that speaks equally to 14-year-old makers ("Teach your nan TikTok. She'll teach you dovetail joints.") and heritage grant funders backing the £1m Drill Hall campaign.

OUR APPROACH · IN PROGRESS

Four phases — currently in progress

An active, collaborative build — from shaping a dual-audience brand direction to prototyping playful, game-like web interactions that invite the whole town in.

01

Discover

Mapping the four audiences — youth crew, skilled mentors, supporters and grant funders — alongside David Coppinger and the £1m Drill Hall fundraising roadmap.

02

Design — In Progress

Developing the 'Woven Town' visual direction and Home 3 interactive concepts that pair 1830s maritime heritage with tactile stickers, Polaroids and bold workshop energy.

03

Build — In Progress

Building and refining the interactive prototype — including the four-door path chooser, skills swap, digital sticker book, Library of Things filter and Dunkirk Little Ship scroll-comic.

04

Launch — Upcoming

Upcoming community testing, 60-second conversational crew sign-up, live campaign progress tracker and Siteglide CMS rollout ahead of the Drill Hall opening.

“Thank you for putting together such a thoughtful brief so quickly. It's really encouraging to see how you've interpreted our conversation, and I particularly like your thinking around making the website more interactive, engaging and accessible to younger audiences.”
